Cairns and Trips...

Hi Everyone,
Hope everyone is really good!!!
Today has been a chillax day! We headed into town to have lunch! This was
in a cafe called Lillipads opposite Gilligan's! That was really nice, I
had eggs benedict with ham and spinach which was well yummy!!! Rob had a
breakfast burritos! They're very into there mexican food here!
After this we tired to find some sunglasses (again), Rob accidentally
stood on my other ones in Sydney! Whoopsy! Finally found some, it was a
good way to see the town actually! Cairns as a town reminds me (this is
going to sound so bad! lol!) of resorts in Spain that old people emigrate
to to play golf! Its a bit weird. I preferred Sydney. There also a notable
difference in Cairns between the people, i.e aboriginal and not. I think
we saw a very affluent version of Australia in Sydney!
This said the weather is really warm and the atmosphere is great so its by
no means a bad place. The main focus of Cairns is actually the trips and I
don't think we'll be spending much time in Cairns itself while we're here!
We booked loads of trips today, tomorrow is Kuranda, so thats a skyrail
trip up to Kuranda, then we're going to go to the butterfly sanctuary at
the top. Followed by a train ride back! Its going to be awesome!
Tuesday is snokelling the great barrier reef day! Although Rob might scuba
dive, but we have to check his ears are going to be ok!
Wednesday is Cape Tribulation! Which will be awesome, boat ride over etc.
Thursday is free at the mo but we might go sea kayaking!
Friday is Gus and his magic bus! lol! We're going to the rainforest to
learn stuff and slide down waterfalls, float in volcanic craters etc.
Followed by platopus (arg spelling!) spotting!!!
I'm very very excited!
Anyways, I'm going to go and buy some washing powder then go for dinner in
town!
Lots of Love,
Sarah xxx
