Phillip Island...

Hi Everyone,
I'm absolutely knackered! Had a great day though!
I got up late around 11am, Rob had been running around doing internet stuff! We headed into the CBD because the Phillip Island tour started from there!
However we were about an hour early... yes I did say early! So we went and sorted out our coach stuff for New Zealand and booked ourselves on a few coaches to get ourselves started!
Then we left at around 1.30pm. First we headed to a cattle farm where we fed kangaroos and bird and stuff! I felt a bit sorry for the kangaroos cause the place was well touristy but they did seem to be being looked after ok! Owww we also saw wombats and a white peacock!
Rob and I also went to the cafe, I had some tea and Rob had some chocolate cake! lol! After the cattle farm we headed to the Koala conservation centre! This was really really cool, I love koala's they are so cute! I got some really good photos! The highlight of the koala sanctuary had to be Daniel the Koala Ranger (Imogen!) lol! I approve of Australia's koala rangers! lol!
After the Koala conservation centre we headed to Cowes to have dinner, I had fish and chips which was very nice! It was absolutely beautiful, we had a paddle in the sea! We decided that the Beach was nicer than Manly but the town wasn't!
After Cowes we headed over to the Nobbies, which are a rock formation! It is also where alot of seals hang out! lol! It was absolutely beautiful, I saw a burrow with Baby Penguins in it as well!
After Nobbies we headed to the Penguin Parade, which was AWESOME!!! You sit in these grandstand things on the beach and just after the sun goes down hundreds of penguins come out of the sea and make their way up the beach towards the grandstands. They are heading for their burrows! It was sooooo cool! They travel in rafts, which are just packs of them. They are only small about 30cm tall, at the moment they are quite chubby because it is coming towards maulting season! It was absolutely amazing to see! After that as we walked back towards the coach they are all making their way up past the ramp thing we walk on to their burrows! Penguins are so incredibly cute! lol!
Also because we were out in the middle of nowhere the night sky was absolutely stunning! It was so clear and you could see loads of constalations! We both have never seen a sky that clear before!
All in all its been a fantastic day! The highlight had to be the penguins who were just so adorable! lol!
I'm off to bed now cause I'm knackered! We've got an early start tomorrow morning!
I hope everyone is fantabulous!!!!!
Lots of Love,
Sarah xxx
